RIDERS: Please understand the following before you register for BTB2014:

1. If you are 17 years old or under, you and your rider ability will need to be vouched for by a rider of our choice. We will refund your money if it is decided you can not ride the hill.
2. This event is a downhill event not a slide jam.
3. Full leathers and approved helmet is required to ride at this event
4. Only one 17 years old or under rider per parent/guardian and that parent/guardian needs to be at the hill at all times the rider is riding and that parent/guardian needs to sign a waiver at time of rider registration and tech inspection.

We made the paper!
Our very own team headed up to the Townsville Hospital the other day. Here is the outcome.
It's a positive story about gravity sports helping out cancer patients. We are going for round five this year. This year we are raising funds for Camp Quality over the weekend of the 8-10 June. We hope to see you there if you are in North Queensland.

We would like to annouce that in 2013 we will be raising funds for:

Hi All,

After discussions, the committee has decided to open registrations to another 15 riders (making a total of 90 riders) which means everyone on our reserves list will be receiving an email over the next few days to be offered a spot at BTB2013. These riders will be given 3 weeks to pay to secure their place.

We have decided to do this at the request of riders. We have been overwhelmed by the interest in BTB2013 and would like to accommodate as many riders as logistically possible. Please be aware that this is a trial to see if we can hold a bigger and better event. If it doesn't work in 2013, the next time (if there is one) we will return to the previous structure of a two day event with 50-70 riders.

Another point of discussion has been safety. Safety of the riders is the upmost importance to us. To give riders notice and knowledge of how Tech will go, here are some points of how helmets with be tested:

  • Single strap pull test.
  • Double strap pull test.
  • Chin piece compression test, for "over-flexing/cracking sounds"
  • The helmet struck onto the heel of the open hand on each side of the helmet, gaging for over-flex/cracking sounds.
  • Good vision with visor, no scratches.
  • No deep scratches or compression cracks on any part of the helmet. A paint "graze" is allowed, however any scratch or damage to helmet deeper than a graze is not acceptable.
  • Helmets which appear highly "used", with a lot of stickers, will be thoroughly checked.

Leathers will be Teched the same as usual.

If you have any questions about tech please email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

We look forward to another awesome weekend of riding.
